Osi a récemment profité d’une interview pour remettre quelques personnes à leur place. Le première d’entre eux était le coach des NY Jets, Rex Ryan:
“I didn’t play that game but I was in the meetings and all that stuff, man, they didn’t like that at all. I just knew the Jets were gonna get a beat-down after all that trash talking they were doing.
I think Rex [Ryan] has pretty much learned his lesson about that. I like the way he coaches, I think he’s a wonderful coach but you really don’t want to be poking a bear with a short stick like that.”
En effet, durant cette intersaison, on a beaucoup moins entendu les Jets dire que New York leur appartenait et qu’ils gagneraient un Super Bowl. En tant que fan de Big Blue c’est un plaisir de ne plus les entendre.
Puis la prochaine cible d’Osi est un rookie qu’il va devoir affronter 2 fois par saison: le QB des Redskins Robert Griffin III.
“Who is this RG3 guy you guys keep talking about? You talking about Bob Griffin? You guys are giving him a cool nickname already and everything.
When he does anything in the NFL we’re gonna call him RG3. Right now he’s Bob Griffin.”
En effet, les médias sont tellement amoureux de RGIII qu’on aurait presque l’impression que son buste du Hall of Fame est déjà prêt. Ceci dit tout cet enthousiasme est bien compréhensible et les Giants ont dû ressentir la même chose quand ils ont drafté Eli.
Mais bon un peu de trash talk avant que la saison ne démarre ne fait jamais de mal.
